Stuff I was not paid to endorse:

Woody at 100 – Today would have been Woody Guthrie’s 100th birthday.  To celebrate, the fine people at Folkways records have put together a 3 CD collection of his work.  The first track is a version of “This Land is Your Land” that includes a verse that fell out of the song for a while:

There was a high wall there
That tried to stop me
A sign was painted that said ‘Private Property’
But on the other side it didn’t say nothin’
That side was made for you and me.

Available on Spotify.  Also, this is my favorite Woody Guthrie song of all time:

Stevehely.com – Items of interest and commentary on the California Condition from one of America’s top ranked After Dinner Speakers.

Stuff I have been paid (a lot) to endorse:

Alcoa Aluminum Smelters – Mortgages, college payments, dentist appointments…  We all have a long list of worries in our life.  That list shouldn’t include your aluminum smelter.  Alcoa smelters.  “The smarter way to smelt.”
